Description
Avana® is FDA-approved anti-impotence drug manufactured by Sunrise Remedies.
The active ingredient of Avana® is Avanafil, which is classified as PDE5 inhibitor and is aimed to treat male sexual dysfunction.
Other well-known agents share a similar mechanism of action as Avanafil: Tadalafil (Cialis), Sildenafil (Viagra) and Vardenafil (Levitra).
Once a drug is absorbed into the bloodstream, Avanafil expands muscles in the walls of blood vessels, thereby increases blood flow into the penis and provides a strong erection. The effect of medication starts in 15-30 minutes after taking and can last up to 6 hours, allowing you to choose the most appropriate time for you and your partner.
Avanafil helps to achieve an erection when sexual stimulation occurs.
Avana® doesn't protect you and your partner from sexually transmitted diseases (including HIV) and from pregnancy.
Avana® is not intended for the treatment in women and children.
Dosage
Take one pill orally with a full glass of water 15-30 minutes before sexual activity. It may be taken with or without food.
Start with 50 mg, if you are undergoing stable alpha-blocker therapy or have other health issues.
You should not take the medication more than once a day or more than a recommended dose.
Missing a dose
Avana® is used only when needed, therefore missed dosages are not relevant. Do not take a double dose of Avana®.
Overdose
If an overdose occurs and you are not feeling well, you should seek emergency medical attention or contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Storage
Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F) and away from excess moisture and heat. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date. Keep out of the reach of children.
